On Tuesday, February 27, the state work group of the Food Promotion Policy of Jalisco was constituted, which will be chaired by the state Tourism Secretary, Mr. Enrique Ramos. Mr. Salvador Sánchez Estrada, Undersecretary of Quality and Regulation of the Federal Tourism Secretariat, mentioned that said policy aims to add the efforts and resources available to the State with those channeled by the dependencies and entities of the Government of the Republic. So that all actions carried out in the field of gastronomy have a greater impact and are aimed at their promotion. He affirmed that without a doubt, gastronomy and tourism are a reflection of our historical wealth.
Mr. Enrique Ramos Flores, Secretary of Tourism of Jalisco, stressed the importance of being linked between different agencies, which we might never have imagined, and that are related to each other and that are of the greatest importance for the promotion of our gastronomy.
It counted on the presence of Maru Toledo, cook and researcher, creator of the group Mujeres del Maíz, Chef Francisco Ruano, secretaries, delegates, teachers, and students of gastronomy.
Dr. Luis Ignacio Gómez Arriola, delegate of the Conservatory of Mexican Gastronomic Culture, was convened as Coordinator of the State Working Group.
