Seed and Biological Control Workshop

In this workshop we will learn to extract some types of seeds, to classify them and to conserve them. We will know what plants and flowers we can plant in our garden to favor the action of natural pollinators and control the presence of pests. We will plant lavender and calendula in our cultivation beds and planters.

CONTENT:
– Extraction and conservation of different seeds
– Distinction of plant families based on flowers and seeds
– Association of plants to promote insectivorous life
– Natural preparations for pest control: CAJA, Chile Pump and FoReFun

This workshop is part of a series of four workshops on family organic agriculture. Each workshop lasts four hours, and is given every fifteen days, on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the CIASPE Experimental Agricultural Center. Upon completion of the four workshops, each participant will be given a certificate, a seed packet and a family farming manual at no additional cost.
